After you have done this preparation phase and are ready, make sure you are producing an egg, known as ovulating, every month.
The main reason women don’t conceive is that they are not ovulating. Even if you have a monthly menses, it does not mean that you are for sure ovulating. Only if your menses are regular and occurring every 26 to 32 days or so is the chance high that you are ovulating regularly.
If you are not having regular cycles as described above, you are likely not ovulating every month. If you are under or overweight, normalizing your weight might help it happen. If you are not able to do this or if your cycles remain irregular, see your medical provider as she might need to check your thyroid and prolactin levels.
You may need a prescription medication to help your ovulate. Many women have had success with seeing an Acupuncturist to help them ovulate and have their menstrual cycles normalize.
