Constipation is very common in pregnancy. It is due to the high level of progesterone in pregnancy, which slows your intestines down.
Drinking more fluid and eating more fiber and prune juice will help.
Medications: Over-the-counter Psyllium fiber (metamucil®) and Docusate (DSS®) are safe to use and for severe cases, some health care providers suggest using over-the-counter Polyethylene Glycol (Miralax®).
Acupressure can also help in some cases of constipation.
